Reference terms

Refers to the typical power rating of all the air compressor asset at your facility.  This value is usually printed on the asset’s data plate or the ‘main motor’ data plate of each air compressor asset.  To determine your installed nominal motor power, simply add up the nominal power ratings of all your air compressor assets!

Based on a facility running a two-shift schedule, 5.5 days per week, for 48 weeks per year.  It assumes air compressors are powered down during non-operational periods—1.5 days per week plus four weeks per year.  During operation, we’ve used an industry-standard compressor utilisation rate of 70%, along with typical assumptions for leaks and waste.

Represent the potential energy, carbon and cost savings achievable with CORE.  This estimate is based on over 40 years of experience and the successful deployment of our technology in thousands of facilities around the world.

Our carbon reduction savings are based on typical energy grid emissions in the US, UK, and EU markets.  For every kilowatt-hour saved, carbon emissions are reduced by approximately:

  • 0.212 kg CO₂/kWh in the UK
  • 0.275 kg CO₂/kWh in EU
  • 0.385 kg CO₂/kWh in the US

Our cost savings estimates are based on the average industrial electricity price. To account for different energy rates, we also provide savings estimates for costs that are higher or lower than the average.  If you know your exact electricity rate, you can easily calculate your own personalised savings.
